Coneross Campground

Looking for the perfect spot to escape the hustle and bustle of city life and enjoy a tranquil glamping experience near Greenville, SC? Look no further than Coneross Campground! Nestled on the shores of Lake Hartwell, this hidden gem offers 136 acres of natural beauty, 12 primitive sites, and a total of 106 campsites, making it an ideal destination for outdoor enthusiasts seeking adventure and relaxation.

During our stay at Coneross Campground, we were blown away by the picturesque surroundings and abundance of amenities. We opted for tent site 094, which boasted its own private beach area – the perfect spot to swim and soak up the sun. The large tent pad provided ample space for our accommodations, complete with a picnic table and fire ring equipped with a grill cover, ideal for cooking up delicious meals under the stars.

While the campground does offer modern conveniences such as bathrooms and showers, they are a slight walk from the tent sites. However, this minor inconvenience was easily overshadowed by the beauty of our surroundings.

Our stay coincided with the end of August, and while the weather was slightly muggy and hot, the refreshing waters of Lake Hartwell provided the perfect respite. We did experience a brief but intense storm one night, which added a sense of adventure to our glamping experience.

One small hiccup during our stay was with a new camp stove that didn't perform as well as expected. However, this minor setback didn't dampen our spirits, and we were still able to enjoy delicious meals cooked over an open fire.

It's worth noting that Coneross Campground is a popular destination and does allow pets, so be prepared to hear the occasional bark from neighboring campsites. Despite this, the campground maintains a peaceful and welcoming atmosphere, making it the perfect retreat for families, couples, and solo adventurers alike.

We're already planning our return trip to Coneross Campground, perhaps during the cooler months of fall when the weather is more temperate. With a check-in time of 3pm and a check-out time of 2pm, we found plenty of daylight to set up and break down our campsite without feeling rushed.

At just $24 per night plus taxes, Coneross Campground offers exceptional value for a memorable glamping experience. Whether you're seeking adventure on the water or simply looking to relax in nature, this hidden gem near Greenville, SC, is sure to exceed your expectations. We can't wait to return and create more unforgettable memories in this tranquil oasis.
